Student Leadership Opportunities

At Hurstville Adventist School, our leadership program provides a variety of opportunities.

  • Student Representative Council (SRC): Our Student Representative Council allows two students from each class, Grades 1-6, to be elected by their peers. This leadership opportunity empowers them to represent their classmates and develop valuable leadership skills.
  • House Captains: Students have the chance to lead their house teams in various school events, fostering teamwork and school spirit.
  • School Captains: Each year, two Year 6 students are elected as School Captains. These students take on significant leadership roles, representing the student body and leading by example.
  • Student Chaplains: Selected students take on the role of Student Chaplains, providing peer support and helping to foster a caring and compassionate school environment.
  • Bus Monitors: Bus Monitors are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of their fellow students during school bus journeys, developing responsibility and leadership skills.
  • Buddy Program: Our Buddy Program pairs older students with younger ones, creating a supportive environment that promotes friendship, mentorship, and a sense of community.
