About

Leadership Program

Programs in the Local Community

At Hurstville Adventist School, our inclusive education focuses on the whole child and given the opportunity to participate in several programs in the local community.

Often life-changing, these experiences teach students essential life values and skills such as resiliency, respect, responsibility and a readiness to learn. Not only do we instil these values, but the program also prepares our students to thrive in secondary school and beyond.

Activities within our Leadership Program range from classroom projects for various charities, leading weekly assemblies and visiting surrounding pre-schools and nursing homes. Students are also encouraged to apply to be school representatives or sport captain, working with our remarkable teachers and obtaining valuable leadership skills and experience. There is also an opportunity for students in Years 5 and 6 students to take part in our bi-annual Canberra Trip.
