Pastoral Care and Student Wellbeing

We pride ourselves on providing a positive learning environment for our students to feel cared for and supported.

Pastoral Care and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do, with our classroom teachers and year level coordinators on the frontline and interacting with students on a daily basis. We help students understand their responsibility to care for each other and make action contributions to social justice throughout their lives.

Our Chaplains provide support to students, staff and school families regardless of their faith. They are active in coordinating programs for student wellbeing and emotional development, and regularly interact with our students, by offering mentoring services and advice, providing a friendly listening ear and encouraging opportunities for fellowship, such as Chapel and Week of Worship.

In times of loss and trauma, they provide additional support to individuals, families and the school community. Our School Counsellor is on call and available for specific social-emotional needs that require specialist assistance or outside referral.

Our strong partnership with parents aids our strong pastoral care program, as we recognise that when school and parents have shared expectations, positive behaviour and change for the better follow.
